Mike Pence is clear winner in VP Debate

During the Vice Presidential Debate, Senator Tim Kaine and Governor Mike Pence went head-to-head to defend their Presidential candidates. One quote from Govenor Mike Pence stated, “We could put cybersecurity first if we just make sure the next Secretary of State doesn’t have a private server.” This attack on Hillary Clinton made Senator Tim Kaine come back with statements on how he trusts Hillary Clinton and her decisions. After being asked the question if either, or both, of the candidates trust Hillary Clinton with their sons being overseas in combat, Tim Kaine states, “We have a son deployed overseas in the U.S. Marine Corps right now. We trust Hillary Clinton as President and Commander in Chief, but the thought of Donald J. Trump as Commander in Cheif scares us to death.” Pence then came back to say how he would trust Trump more than Hillary with their son, who is currently overseas in combat.

The VP Debate was important in showing how level headed and calm both of these candidates were, as well as how they compliment their Presidential candidates. Pence shows a levelheaded side to the Trump-Pence campaign, while Tim Kaine brings a trustworthy background to the Clinton-Kaine campaign. Although Kaine brings a better image to Clinton, he still cannot overcome the personality and experience of Mike Pence. Pence has proven himself worthy to become Vice President and to be by Donald Trump’s side during serious decision making. There could not be a better Vice President candidate that would compliment Trump more than Govenor Mike Pence.

Mike Pence did a lot of what Donald Trump needs to do in the next Presidential debate. So Donald: make eye contact with the camera (your speaking to us, not the moderator), talk about Hillary’s untrustworthiness, and explain why your vision for America is the best. Mike Pence won the VP debate and would have dominated the Presidential debate stage because of these things.

Hillary’s top 5 lies

The woman we all love to hate, the Democrat nominee, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Whatever you choose to call her: Hillary, HRC, Hilla the Hun, the Wicked Witch of the West Wing, Satan; she’s the most corrupt and fraudulent presidential candidate our nation has ever seen. These are the top 5, out of dozens, the top 5 most disgusting lies that Hillary Clinton has told the American people, and I don’t mean little, white lies that everyone tells. I mean flat out, blatant, serious lies.

Her 1996 trip to Bosnia

In the midst of her presidential run in 2008, Clinton gave a speech at George Washington University where she said:

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

Lie.

Her arrival in Bosnia was quite pleasant, actually. A video from CBS shows Clinton arriving peacefully and being greeted with flowers and gifts from U.S. and Bosnian officials. She later told the Philadelphia Daily News that she “misspoke” about the arrival and that she heard that there was a threat of sniper fire in the area. She said “I made a mistake. I’m human. It happens to all of us.” It wasn’t a mistake Hillary. It was a lie.

Where her daughter was on September 11, 2001

This one is especially horrible in my opinion. Clinton told NBC’s Dateline the following:

“She’d gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and — and that’s when the plane hit.”

Her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, later told Talk Magazine that she was at her friend’s apartment watching the coverage when the planes hit. Tammy Bruce, Fox News radio host, suggested that Hillary Clinton may suffer from mythomania, a pathological tendency to exaggerate or tell lies, and I don’t think that would surprise any of us. Clinton was a senator in New York at the time and her fellow New York senator, Chuck Schumer, his daughter was in school in the shadow of the World Trade Center during the attack. To lie about the whereabouts of her daughter to make it seem as if she was in danger is beyond disrespectful to the families and victims of that horrific day.

Her emails

Just recently, FBI director James Comey came out to say that while Hillary Clinton was extremely careless with her private email server, he wouldn’t recommend that she be prosecuted. The information Comey provided regarding the emails showed that everything the Clinton Campaign has said about the emails before was a, you guessed it, lie. First of all she claimed that she never sent any classified information, but Comey said that there were some emails that contained markings of classified material. Next, Clinton expressed that she was allowed to have the private server. My question is, why would anyone in a place of power like the Secretary of State feel the need to have a private email server with information that could compromise our national security, especially when she was receiving and sending information in foreign countries where foreign adversaries could have easily accessed it? Clinton also claimed that she had no intention of deleting any of the emails, however, Comey said that her staff and lawyers had deleted over 30,000 emails in such a way that they could not be recovered. And how about the fact that one of her IT staffers has pleaded the fifth 125 times when asked questions during the dispositions. Despite the facts that James Comey has given, it looks as if Hillary Clinton will not be indicted, but still no one is above the law?

That she is just like the average American citizen

How about no.

I don’t think the average American citizen makes $200,000 per speech they make or have children that only attended private schools their whole life. If the average American had emailed classified information and put our country’s national security at risk, they would have been thrown in prison faster than they could say ‘classified.’ While making a speech on the topic of inequality, Clinton stood at the podium in a Giorgio Armani jacket that cost over $12,000. Oh, the irony. During her current campaign run, she has updated her wardrobe and spent over 6 figures on new clothes. Or how about the fact that she hasn’t driven her own car since 1996. Her major downfall in the 2008 presidential election was that the American people felt she was unapproachable and out of touch with the average American. Update in 2016: She still is. Just this time, she’s trying too hard.

Benghazi

It is a known fact from the State Department that Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, knew that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya was a terrorist attack and failed to react. As a result, 4 American lives were lost. In her testimony, she said that she cared deeply about Ambassador Chris Steven’s death, but later went on to say that he knew the risks associated with his job and he was responsible for this own death. She claimed that the attack was based off of a YouTube video and continued to say so after she herself had admitted that the deadly attack, “had nothing to with the film. It was a planned attack — not a protest.” She told her own family that those who died, died at the hands of an Al-Qaeda like terrorist attack, but she told the families of the victims that they died at a protest gone wrong because of YouTube video. She lied to the faces of grieving families for political gain right before the 2012 election. It is absolutely appalling.

Some leftists argue, “Accusations about Hillary being a liar are clearly just vast right-wing conspiracies. Hillary’s merely misinformed about her own life.” Let me be the first to say that no one is that “misinformed” about their own life. Sure, people slip sometimes and say things that aren’t the total truth, but Hillary Clinton has done this about a dozen too many times. As someone who is running for the most powerful chair in the political world, this is completely unacceptable.

The Clintons’ Crooked History

Bill and Hillary Clinton are the most corrupt political couple in American history. Fortunately for them, many of their scandals took place before Millennials gained their political awareness. Let’s examine just a few of the many corrupt actions of America’s most famous power couple.

Whitewater

The first scandal to envelop the Clintons involves a failed business venture called Whitewater Development Corp while they were still politicos in Arkansas. Bill and Hillary, along with their friends Jim and Susan McDougal, invested money to buy plots of land with the intent being to sell the plots for vacation homes. The business eventually failed and the Clintons and the McDougal’s lost money on the venture.

The Whitewater business later underwent investigation. Claims were made that the McDougals sought and received illegal fraudulent loans for the business, and that the Clintons used their political stature to pressure the bank in question into making the illegal loans.

The McDougals were convicted, but the Clintons got off scot-free.

President Clinton granted a full pardon to Susan McDougal before leaving the Oval Office.

Travelgate

The White House Travel Office is responsible for facilitating the travel arrangements of the White House press corp. The Travel Office contracts travel business out to private companies. Upon hearing of potential mismanagement in the Travel Office, all seven employees were fired.

The scandal: Hillary Clinton had designs to get her friends who worked in the travel industry hired in the White House Travel Office and award her friends with the government contracts.

Upon government investigation, it was concluded that it was technically legal to fire the Travel Office employees for any reason, but entirely inappropriate and unethical to allow those with business interests at stake to influence the decision. It was also concluded that while President Clinton had no involvement, Hillary played a large role in the firings and is quoted as saying that she had to get her people in the Travel Office.

Filegate

The Travelgate investigations led to another Clinton scandal called Filegate. A top Clinton White House official ordered the FBI to hand over secret files on hundreds of top Republicans for political opposition research. It was an enemies list, as several described it at the time. It was later found that Bill and Hillary had no involvement in Filegate, but it just goes to show the kind of people they hired and the kind of White House they ran.

The Impeachment

President Clinton was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice, NOT for fooling around with Monica Lewinsky.

President Clinton was under investigation for his sexual harassment of Paula Jones, an Arkansas government employee back when Bill was in state politics. During his deposition, Bill lied under oath and denied any involvement with Monica Lewinsky. Upon perjuring himself, the United States Congress voted to hold impeachment hearings on President Bill Clinton. Only after being caught did Bill come clean with the American people.

The vote to toss Bill and Hill out of the Oval Office came down to party lines and he was allowed to finish his term. Had you or I done exactly what Bill Clinton did, we would be in prison.

Benghazi

On September 11th, 2012, there was a terrorist attack on our embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Islamic extremists stormed the embassy and killed 4 Americans, one of them being Ambassador Chris Stephens.

After the attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the American people that this attack was not terrorism, but a spontaneous protest-turned-violent that was inspired by a anti-Muslim Youtube video produced in America. However, emails were uncovered that show Hillary was lying to the American people. She was telling her family and friends that this was a terrorist attack while telling America it wasn’t terrorism, but a protest. In fact, Hillary even wrote the Prime Minister of Egypt on the night of the attack saying, “We know that the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest.”

For two weeks Hillary lied to the American people and blamed the video, not terrorism, for the death of four Americans. But, as Hillary said during her testimony, “what difference does it make?” Hillary lied because her boss, President Obama, had an election approaching 54 days later, and a terrorist attack in a country that was the epitome of Clinton/Obama foreign policy simply wasn’t good politics, the truth be damned.

The Email Server

As a result of the investigations into Hillary’s failings and lies concerning Benghazi, it was discovered that Secretary Clinton had been using a private email server and device, not the mandated government ones, to conduct her official government business. As a former Congressional staffer, I can tell you definitively that every member of the U.S. government has two devices: one for personal business and one for government business. Hillary’s email server was not secured or approved by any government security officials. According to the director of the FBI, James Comey, Hillary mishandled classified documents on this illegal email server and it’s even possible that it was hacked by “hostile actors.” Who knows what state secrets were discovered by the enemies of America? Were CIA covers blown? Were secret government operations exposed? We may not know what was stolen from Clinton’s server until it is too late.

So, the final question is, to quote Hillary, “What difference does it make?” The Clintons have more scandals under their belts than any American politicians in our nation’s history. We didn’t even get into the multiple sexual harassment and rape allegations leveled against Bill Clinton, or the subpoenaed documents that Hillary hid for years from federal investigators, or the millions of dollars the Clintons have taken from Wall Street, or how the Clintons sell influence through their “charity,” the Clinton Foundation.

These scandals show that Bill and Hillary are corrupt to their cores. They use political power to get away with whatever crimes they wish and they lie to the American people time and time again. Hillary and her husband have abused power ever since they entered the public arena. As insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result, it would be insane to elect Hillary Clinton as President and expect her to stop her 30 year pattern of corruption.

Trump’s 7 step plan to Make America Great Again

Most people are asking, “Does Trump actually have a plan if he’s elected?” As a matter of fact, Trump has put forth a 7 step plan to make America great again. The following is a breakdown of his positions according to his website, DonaldJTrump.com, and his policy statements throughout the campaign.

1) Build the Wall!

Donald Trump made headlines while announcing his candidacy when he made illegal immigration the focus of the 2016 GOP primary by promising to build a wall along our entire southern border. As we later came to learn, The Donald wasn’t done making headlines. Trump has promised to make Mexico pay for the wall! Here’s how he plans to make it happen:

  • Propose a financial rule that would not allow aliens within the United States to send money to their home nations without first providing documentation to prove their lawful presence in the U.S.
  • Mexico receives approximately $24 billion a year from illegal aliens working in the US who send their wages back to their families in Mexico, according to Trump’s website. Mexico will protest the rule from step 1 as they need the money to serve as their “de facto welfare.”
  • The Trump administration will then tell Mexico that the rule will not go into effect if Mexico hands over the money to pay for the wall.
  • Enact trade tariffs and/or enforce trade rules already on the books. In short, Trump plans to even the trade deficit between Mexico and the United States. Trump’s website claims that we will have all of the leverage in any negotiation because Mexico depends on Americans buying Mexican-produced goods.
  • Begin canceling Mexican visas to increase our leverage in the pay-for-the-wall negotiations.
  • Increase visa fees to increase our leverage in the pay-for-the-wall negotiations.

2) Healthcare

Obamacare is universally hated by Republicans and is largely unpopular among independents. It was sold on a lie — “if you like your doctor then you can keep your doctor” — and it has violated Americans’ freedom to choose as well as increased the cost of healthcare and forced doctors out of business. Trump has a plan to not only repeal, but also replace the Affordable Care Act with something that will “will broaden healthcare access, make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of the care available to all Americans.”

  • Congress must fully repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate.
  • Allow health insurance to be sold across state lines. Free-market competition will lead to lower prices and better service.
  • Trump’s plan will “allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system. Businesses are allowed to take these deductions so why wouldn’t Congress allow individuals the same exemptions?” He also promises to “make sure that no one slips through the cracks simply because they cannot afford insurance. We must review basic options for Medicaid and work with states to ensure that those who want healthcare coverage can have it.”
  • Allow the use of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) which allow people to save up money for healthcare tax-free. This money can be used by family members and passed on through inheritances.
  • Require price transparency from insurance providers and hospitals.
  • Block-grant Medicaid to the states. “Block-grant” means giving money to states earmarked for healthcare in a lump sum without telling them how to specifically use it (as long as it’s used for healthcare). Each state has unique needs and knows its citizens better than the federal government does.
  • Introduce free-market competition into the pharmaceutical industry.

3) China, China, China!

Trump LOVES to talk about China. Here’s his plan to balance the raw deal that America currently has with China:

  • Declare China a currency manipulator to force them to come to the bargaining table.
  • Force China to start obeying intellectual property laws (China is famous for stealing private technology which greatly hurts U.S. companies who put the time, energy, and resources into developing it). Hacking is the primary avenue by which China steals intellectual property. Trump promises to put America’s best tech minds on defending against Chinese hackers. A Trump administration will also demand that China obeys World Trade Organization policies which it frequently ignores.
  • “Reclaim millions of American jobs and [revive] American manufacturing by putting an end to China’s illegal export subsidies and lax labor and environmental standards.” Trump plans to accomplish this by aggressively pursuing cases against China through the World Trade Organization.
  • “Strengthen our negotiating position by lowering our corporate tax rate to keep American companies and jobs here at home, attacking our debt and deficit so China cannot use financial blackmail against us, and bolstering the U.S. military presence in the East and South China Seas to discourage Chinese adventurism.”

4) Reforming the VA

In 2014, the Veterans Administration scandals broke and it was revealed that VA facilities in Phoenix, Arizona and across the country were mistreating veterans (including putting them on wait lists until they died) to make the VA administrators’ statistics look favorable. Since then, President Obama has replaced the Secretary of the Veterans Administration and Congress has made some progress, but the job of reforming the VA is far from over. Our veterans deserve the best medical care America can offer. Here is how Trump plans to do it:

  • Allow any veteran to receive care from any doctor or facility that accepts Medicare. This will reduce wait times and force the VA to compete with other medical facilities for veterans’ business; competition always leads to better prices and better service.
  • Increase funding in PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and suicide prevention treatments and research. PTSD, TBI, and suicide affect veterans at a much higher rate than it does civilians.
  • Increase funding for veterans’ job placement services, provide incentives to encourage businesses to hire veterans and help to provide business loans to aspiring veteran entrepreneurs.
  • Equip the VA to deal with injuries common to the 21st-century veteran, as well as equip the VA to better treat female veterans.
  • Trump will fire VA administrators not doing their jobs and end waste, fraud, and abuse in the VA budget.
  • Increase the number of veterans who work for the Veterans Administration.
  • Place VA clinics within existing non-VA hospitals in rural areas to increase access for veterans across the country.

5) Tax Reform

According to the Washington Examiner, the United States Federal Tax Code is 74,608 pages long. A code this long and complex is how we have a system where all manner of big businesses and special interests receive special favors and tax breaks while the rest of us get robbed. James Madison, the father of the U.S. Constitution, said, “It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.” Luckily, the Republican nominee for President has a plan to restore sanity and fairness to the tax code:

  • Decrease taxes for the middle class. Higher taxes just leads to more wasteful government spending. When the people are free to keep the money they earn, they will save it, pay down debts, and spend it to fuel the economy.
  • Simplify the tax code and reduce the number of tax brackets from seven to four: 0% (for those making under $25,000, or under $50,000 if you are married), 10%, 20%, and 25%. Trump claims that these are the lowest tax rates since before World War II.
  • Lower the corporate tax (an income tax on businesses) to 15% for all businesses big and small. America currently has one of the highest corporate taxes in the world. Lowering the corporate tax will make America one of the most competitive places to do business across the globe which will lead to a growing economy; in other words, JOBS.
  • Eliminate the death tax. The death tax is a tax on the inheritance that you leave for your family. That money was earned by you and taxes were already paid on it. You have a right to leave what you earned to your family without the government dipping into it a second time.

6) The Second Amendment

The Second Amendment to the Constitution states in part that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” The Trump position is to do everything it can to make sure that this sacred right of the people to defend themselves is protected:

  • Revive Project Exile nationwide. Project Exile was a successful Virginia program that mandated five years in prison (no parole or early release) for any violent felon that uses a firearm to commit a crime.
  • Reform the broken mental health system in America. Hopefully, a more effective mental health system will prevent more mass shootings committed by disturbed individuals.
  • Oppose any bans on semi-automatic rifles and gun magazines as they are always based on aesthetics rather than functionality.
  • Strengthen the existing background check system. A background check is required before purchasing a firearm in most cases. These background checks can work! The problem, Trump claims, is that the states are failing to input their criminal and mental health data into the system. If the states do this, the system will work far more effectively.
  • Allow your concealed carry permit to be valid in all 50 states, just like a driver’s license.
  • Eliminate gun free zones on military bases and recruiting centers.

7) Immigration Reform

  • Build the wall (obviously).
  • Enforce the laws already on the books (unlike President Obama and his unconstitutional “deferred action” executive orders) by tripling the number of ICE officers, implementing a national e-verify system to prevent businesses from hiring illegal aliens, deporting all criminal aliens, defunding sanctuary cities which harbor illegal immigrants, and ending birthright citizenship.
  • Control the influx of legal immigrants coming into the country to protect American jobs.
  • Strengthen the vetting process of immigrants to prevent a terror attack from radical Islamic terrorists.

Well, there you have it: no rhetoric, just a solid plan with specific ideas to make America great again. You may not agree with everything in the plan, but there is no longer any denying that Trump has a plan. If Trump happens to land in the Oval Office in January of 2017, it seems that he knows exactly what he will be doing for his first four years in office.

What do you think of Trump’s plan? Let us know in the comments!
